Apparently the 3G problems that are plaguing iPhone users are not exclusive to the 3G. The Blackberry Bold as reported by Electronista is having its own heap of problems on AT&T's "fastest" network.

[Citigroup investment analyst Jim Suva] also notes that the BlackBerry suffers from the same problems of the iPhone, including 3G connection problems; the device will frequently drop 3G in favor of a slower, 2G EDGE link when downtown. Suva speculates that the flaw may likewise stem from rough software and that AT&T may have delayed its launch primarily to stabilize 3G performance.

Obviously this is an iPhonecentric blog but seriously Crackberry folks blaming the Apple as the only reason 3G is terrible was a bit hasty now eh? At least I've got the functionality and sexy product that I desired without worrying that it was being knocked off *cough* blackberry bold's black finish and chrome bezel *cough*

OpenClip WAS an open-source framework that allowed the iPhone user to copy and past text between programs. This app allowed the user to get closer to the much requested, but even more rebuked desire for actual copy and pasting. The application actually did not function cooperatively as much as it exploited a loophole in the iPhone's framework. This would allow the app to access the directory of other iPhone applications. The problem is Apple makes it very clear that they will no longer tolerate the exploitation of this loophole as the information is recessed in a secure location...blah, blah, blah. Basically they are bringing up security claims to make it seem as though the user shouldn't have access to such a fine feature. Oh well, another day, another broken. It seems they are more apt to let apps like I'm Rich, than let iPhone users have the features they really want.

Someone working for Cyan Worlds ( the creators of Myst) decided it best to let the world in on a little secret. There is a tiny three person team working furiously on the project, the post gives no hint at where the outside funding is coming from. There are no details about the game itself i.e. how it's played, will it follow the same storyline. It should be noted that if pulled off people will lose countless more hours as Myst was highly addictive and known as one of the premiere games throughout the 90's.

The iPhone has already been dubbed as on par with Nintendo's DS and Sony's PSP. Let's hope that the fellows over at Cyan can come up with something that will officially establish that no waking minute is lost not using my beautiful phone. (By way of TouchArcade)

They are some whispers coming a Businessweek internal source that Apple plans to ramp up-AND I MEAN RAMP UP production of the iPhone and produce 40-45 million units in the next 12 months. This does make the most sense for Apple seeing as they are rolling out new countries day by day. India anyone?. This amount of iPhones just seems absurd...soo much for making any money on ebay! The most amazing part about this plan is that iPhone has only been around about a year, heck iPods took YEARS to do this not mere months! We shall see how this turns out, lets just hope loopt doesn't catch on and everyone and their mother begins tracking other iphone users!

Unfortunately, as we all know far too well the iPhone has a few shortcomings when it comes to the phones camera. There is no video recording, the camera is weak at only 2 MP and most importantly there is NO ZOOM! Well not anymore, brando out in Hong Kong is offering a Telescope style Zoom lens that attaches to the back of the iPhone. Not the prettiest looking device, but it seems to get the job done well. If you've got 20 bones to shill out head over to their website and pick one up. ( Brando)
